GRANDCHILDREN'S ROOM

This bedroom has always been designated for the use of grandchildren.  Just about every one of the ten grandchildren has spent some time in this room.  They have now all outgrown the use of this room but it has an awful lot of lingering memories of good times spent there. 



This old rocking chair has rocked many a baby to sleep.

A few items of baby clothes help to remind me of the wonderful times we had together.  By the way, some of the little clothing pieces were hand me downs from my children who are over 60 years of age. 

Pictures of children and grandchildren sit side by side with pictures of my own parents as babies and a few bonnets I made.

This mannequin is dressed in an outfit I made for one of the granddaughters.  She is wearing a hand smocked dress complete with matching dainty little slip, bloomers, and a beautiful smocked bonnet.

This is a doll cradle that I received for Christmas when I was five years of age.  In it's 77 years it has held many dolls and a few real babies.  It has even been enjoyed  by some of the great granddaughters.
