OLD FASHION OATMEAL COOKIES

Nothing smells as good as cookies baking in the oven.  Oatmeal cookies are easy to mix up and delicious to eat.  My recipe is really good and just about right on the "chewy side". 

Recipe: 

1 cup flour

3/4 teaspoon soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

3/4 cup vegetable oil

1 1/3 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups uncooked old fashion oats

1 cup raisins

 

Mix first five ingredients together, add oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla

Beat until smooth

Stir in oats and raisins

Drop by heaping spoonful onto greased cookie sheets

Bake at 350 for 12 - 15 minutes

wouldn't you

 

And a kid'll eat oatmeal cookies !
